We introduce the email bulletin "New-Method" No. 58 with our works and guest contributions. This issue features Taro Yasuno for the contributor, a composer, who is also the organizer of "THE MAUSOLEUM II" -Dead performance- we joined in September.
From 1st to 3rd In September, 2017, I organized "THE MAUSOLEUM II," a concert for what I call "Great-Zombie music" at BankART Yokohama 1929. The "Great Zombie music" is a piece of zombie music performed by a 2.4 meter high, 2 meter wide and 2 meter deep air-box equipped with foot bellows for four players. I coined the word "Zombie music" for music to be played by my own self-built automatic musical devices. You can find more details in my official website or other online resources. New-Method joined the performance with me to pump the foot bellows together. Why New-Method Probably because I know them very well, I can just write to the group to arrange three people at once, and their popularity may bring more audience to my performance. Not only that, zombie music is a format or system I created to realize my humble ambition as a composer (that is to say, to pioneer something unprecedented in the history of music), and although I expected to have machines serve my dream, the blue-print turned out to be totally opposite as the scale of my systems grows greater. Now my machines force me to hustle and bustle to keep them active. It is like that "zombie" in zombie music was not the machine as I had intended, but I became a zombie (a device to maintain devices). How about New-Method can we see them human agents to preserve and execute the dogma of tautology. At least, I think of New-Method as such, and hope they walk on the same road, hence choosing them to be the co-performer of this concert to become human agents serving the Great-Zombie system together. The result New-Method was so perfect. I want to ask them every time if they would like it. "THE MAUSOLEUM III" will be performed before long. Hope you witness how great New-Method play it.

Condolence for dead URL

URL shortening service "p.tl" ended its service on September 29, 2017. All the URLs of 8,886,484 shortened by "p.tl" became dead links. In response to this, I decided to give my condolence to these 8.8 million URLs and all the other URLs that have become dead links up until now. Here I address my condolences by inserting dead URLs in the place of the personal name in online examples of condolence letters.
