楽譜の物質形式について On the Physical Form of Musical Score

楽譜は音楽の演奏のために存在するが、それは実用としての存在価値以上に、音楽の写像、あるいはイデアという側面がある。 A musical score exists for playing, but it has a dimension of the image clarity or the idea of music over its usefulness.

すなわち、楽譜それ自体が音楽を表す表象の一側面であり、ただしそれが記述という形式、つまり多くの場合は歴史的経緯として物質として存在する。 Hense, a musical score itself is one dimension of the musical representations, and it exist historically as physical matters for writings in many circumstances.

本来、楽譜は演奏を前提にした記号表現（五線譜による記述）および物質形式（紙）を保ち続けてきた。だが、ひとたびそれが演奏を前提としない事物として扱われるならば、その記号表現をあるべき形式として存在させることが可能となる。一つとしては、銅板である。これは物質形式であり、歴史的に使用されてきた。ある意味で音楽を物質として還元できる結果であろうと私は考える。 Musical scores have been essentially staying in the symbol representation (staff notation writings) and the physical form (papers) that assume playing. However, if it can be treated as the matter for non-playing, its symbol representation can be existed as what it needs to be. One is the copper sheet. This is the physical form and used historically. I think that it is one of the physical form of music.

近年誕生した形式はデジタルデータである。これは物質形式ではない。 The form arises during recent years is the digital format, but this is not a physical form.

私はこのような楽譜が持ちえる表象形式の中で、未だに可能である物質形式を提唱したい。それが今作である。 This work is the novel physical form of representation of musical score (or music) to be able to exist that I propound.
